Humayun's tomb is the garden tomb of the Mughal Emperor Humayun, commissioned by Empress Bega Begum and designed by Persian architects. It is the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent and the earliest structure to use red sandstone on such a scale. The complex also houses several smaller monuments and graves of later Mughals.
